Tem-Pace recently expanded with
a new office building north of their
current office and production building.
Tem-Pace, Inc. is a manufacturer of custom tempered glass,
serving many markets, including the truck cap, door and window,
furniture, display, lighting and RV industries. The company's
capabilities include cutting, drilling, edging, logoing, seaming,
and painting (silk screening) glass, and making insulated glass
units. Tem-Pace, Inc. also has the capability to do small orders
which require hand cutting of glass as well as large volumes of
pattern (radius cut) parts. Tem-Pace, Inc.'s market includes
customers located in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois, as well
as customers as far away as Pennsylvania, Texas, California,
New York, and New Mexico. The Niles, Michigan location offers
easy access to major transportation systems that allow
expeditious service to customers.
Tem-Pace was incorporated in 1987 in Niles, MI. The company  was
formed in response to a significant market demand for small pieces of
tempered safety glass in the mobile home and recreational vehicle
(MH/RV) industries of the Michiana area. The need for a quick
turnaround time was paramount, and Tem-Pace began operations with
a custom designed system which accomplished that objective. As
Tem-Pace has grown, state-of-the-art technology has been
continuously added to improve the company's capabilities. Tem-Pace
has continued to expand, serving additional customers in its identified
target market. A significant source of expansion has been into the
lighting and door market. In 1992 Tem-Pace acquired Mawer Glass,
Inc. located in Paulding, OH, and moved that business to its Niles
location. In 1994, Tem-Pace added 20,000 square feet of
manufacturing space to the original structure and continued to expand
in 1998 with another 32,000 square feet of manufacturing space. In
late 2007, Tem-Pace expanded once again by adding a new office
building just north of their current office and production building.
"Our flat tempered and radius bent
glass, sculpted formed glass, as well as
other fabricated products provide our
