Glass. Totally unique in its endless possibilities of uses and techniques. A material that can be flat,
round, bent, cast, molded, pressed, blown, cut, torched, decorated, transparent, translucent,
opaque, for windows, doors, eyeglasses, containers, furniture, it goes on and on and on. Glass can
be functional as well as it can be beautiful. This subject matter invites the viewer to do more than
just use their eyes, it begs the viewer to touch it, to feel it. The surface of glass can feel so smooth
or rough, it is hard but can feel soft and sensuous at the same time. Through these sensations,
feelings are brought forth, warmth or cold, pleasure or pain. I have been working with glass for over
30 years, and to this day, it still lures me in, calling me, to take that extra step, and make contact.
