Tem-Pace was incorporated in 1987 in Niles, Michigan and began by providing small pieces of tempered safety glass to the mobile home and recreational vehicle (MH/RV) industries in the Michiana area. Always focused on quick turnaround times and quality, Tem-Pace began operations with a custom designed system which accomplished those objectives. In 1992 Tem-Pace acquired Mawer Glass, Inc. located in Paulding, Ohio, and moved that business to the Niles location. In 1994, Tem-Pace added 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space to the original structure and continued to expand in 1998 with another 32,000 square feet. In late 2007, Tem-Pace expanded once again by adding a new office building located just north of their current office and production building. Also in 2007 Tem-Pace was honored with the Industry of the Year Award from the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce. Tem-Pace now operates under 100,000 square feet on 14 acres in the Niles Industrial Park.
In 2011 Tem-Pace’s primary assets were acquired by The Cypress Companies a private investment firm that specializes in small industrial companies. Retaining the staff that has always made Tem-Pace great, the company now looks forward to continued success under this new leadership.
